Matt Kay beats Chris Baker in Final to Win Season 15 Heads-Up Championship

2016-02-20 10.08.32

A BIG CONGRATULATIONS to Matt Kay for clinching his first BCPC Heads-Up Title on Friday night, beating Chris Baker in the Final.
Matt wins a £200 25/25 seat of his choice with Chris getting a £100 seat of his choice.
Due to the phenomenal turnout, 3rd placed Harry Furet also receives a £100 seat of his choice.
The BCPC will also pay the juice for whichever comp is chosen by each player.
All three seats will be played under BCPC rules, which means that should a player cash for example, for £1000, he would then take out his buy-in (£200) and then with the remaining £800, he would keep £400 and the other £400 would be chopped equally between the other 23 players who played on Friday.

The format on Friday was the first time we had played it on a group basis and I think it was a roaring success. The turnout meant that it did go on till 4am-ish (a BCPC record!!) but I perceived that everyone enjoyed it and having a cash table also meant that there was always a game for players to step in to, to avoid too much hanging about.

The top 10 All-Time BCPC Heads-Up players (minimum 10 games played) now stands as follows………
1-Darren Hooper won 8 lost 4 = 66.67% win ratio
2-Adam Phelan 21-13 = 61.76%
3-Tod Wood 38-25 = 60.31% (most wins all-time)
4-Steve Redfern 11-8 = 57.89%
5-Brian Yates 36-28 = 56.25% (most losses all-time)
6-Matt Kay 10-8 = 55.56%
7-Matt Mckinlay 13-11 = 54.16%
8-Adam Smith 8-7 = 53.33%
9-Andrew Duncan 9-8 = 52.94%
10-Chris Baker 18-16 = 52.94%
