BCPC Season 16, Game 6 – Friday 14 October 2016
A strong run from Tod saw him top of the league going into the final game, with only Simon Smith who could catch him. Simon would need to win and Tod not finish 4th or higher. Of course there were other considerations as well with the top 8 winning a seat.
League table at the start of the night:
On the night
Tony T was in good WIll Kassouf form – a lot of table talk and a couple of clocks called :). I liked Adam Phelan’s comment: “World champion? More like world chumpion.”
Tod looked over at the break to see Simon lowish in chips, and indeed he was gone an hour or so later in 14th, meaning Tod had won the league for the second time – yay!
Charles Mason’s 5th place gave him an additional 5 points which was enough to take him above Adam Smith and Chris Baker into 8th place.Steve Healey’s 6th place was good enough to keep him in the seats – finishing 6th overall.
Matt Godwin’s 4th place on the night catapulted him up to 4th overall. Brian Yates’s 3rd was good enough to see him rise to 5th in the overall standings. And Amy’s second saw her pip Simon for overall second place.
Nic Rawlings popped his cherry with his first league victory – and this was good enough to capture 7th overall. Congratulations, my good man!
So the points scorers on the night were:
|Position||Name||Usual Points||Actual Points|
And the final table looks like this:
|1||Tod Wood||43||£500 + £200|
Thanks to everyone for playing and keeping the BCPC a fantastic place to play poker., and congratulations to everyone that won a seat!
