BCPC Season 14, Game 3 – Friday 10 July 2015
Hello! Week 3 then. Double chance, so someone explain to Chris Baker how that works, please.
Going into the game the clear league leader was Steve ‘AdelaideBull’ Healey – would he be able to extend his lead as he goes for that unprecedented third title, or would the chasing pack gain ground?
Shirt of Shame
Looks like the stress of having to don the Shirt of Shame has led to some over-eating.
Some points of interest
I guess I have to mention that I raised the first hand UTG with J6o, which after a call from Andy Overton saw a flop of J69, a turn 6, and river 8. Weeeeee! 🙂
Not long after that saw an amazing hand. Kev O’Driscoll opened UTG. I think Andy Overton raised, Dale then shoved and Kev insta-called. Andy tanked for a while (he’s definitely a slower player than me) and then folded. Kev showed KK and Dale QQ. Andy said ‘phew!’ as he’d folded JJ.

So Andy went from screaming to punching the air. All three hit full houses – how crazy is that?
Andy lost a big hand a while later so had to bring in a friend to talk to:
Over on the restaurant table, Tony Griffiths shoved his stack in on the button with 63 only to get called by both 99 and JJ. Ooops! No danger though as he hits his straight. 🙂
By the time we got to the final table, Laura was pretty low in chips, but one double up, then two, then three, then let’s knock a few people out and, oh, hello! …. Laura’s first league victory!! Many congratulations.
This was while holding WKD races as well….
