Adam Phelan wins Summer Deepstack XII, Craig Standen 2nd, Di Farrell 3rd

ADAM PHELAN continued his recent rich vein of form when he took down the BCPC Summer Deepstack for the 2nd time in his last 4 attempts with a brilliant lesson in how to manage a shortstack into a winning one. He went onto the Final Table 7th of 9 with just 55,500 chips, while leader DAVID KINGSWELL had 314,000, almost 200,000 more than EDDIE JUDGE in 2nd place.

With just 7500 chips it was no surprise when CLAIRE BAILEY was out in 9th & STEVE HEALEY quickly followed in 8th. TONY TRIPPIER then said au revoir in 7th & EDDIE then went out in 6th.

DAVE KINGSWELL had made a major error when slow-playing a set against CRAIG STANDEN, costing him most of his massive stack & that contributed greatly to his exiting on the money bubble in 5th place. GORDON McARTHUR then picked up £160 in finishing 4th, to add to his cash in his previous BCPC visit at Christmas for the HO-HO-HOMAHA event.

DI FARRELL was our 3rd place finisher for £250 which left ADAM & CRAIG to play what was a short Heads-Up that saw Craig left as runner-up (£400) as ADAM lifted the trophy along with £700.
